August Beauty Favourites

Tuesday, 2 September 2014

Hey Honeybees!

It's me again! This time I'm going to tell you about some of my favourite beauty products from this month. I'll start with two lip glosses I got from Tanya Burr. I got the Chic lip gloss which is a pale peachy nude colour. I also got the Picnic in the park which is quite a bright pink colour. They both are really lovely to wear and they last quite a while. I'm sure they taste and smell of Candy floss, which is really nice. They are being sold For £4.66 at the moment in Superdrug.

Tanya Burr - Picnic in the park

Tanya Burr - Chic
Left - Party in the Park & Right = Chic
The next Think I Love are the Real techniques Core collection brush set priced at £20.99 at Superdrug. You get one Powder brush, one liquid foundation brush, a highlighter/blush brush and a concealer or lipstick brush. I also bought an eye shadow Shading brush for £6.99 from Superdrug. I love the powder and highlighter brush best they are so soft on the skin.

Superdrug - £20.99

My last favourite Beauty product this month is the Soap & Glory Orangeasm Body wash which was £6.50 from Boots. It smells absolutely gorgeous  but it smells more like a tangerine to me. After I used the wash in the shower my skin was so soft I couldn't believe it.

Boots - £4.50

Those are three of my favourites this month, what have you enjoyed in August?

Thanks for reading & following my blog you lovely Honeybees. xx

Birthday Drugstore Haul

Wednesday, 20 August 2014

Hey Honeybees!

I recently had my Birthday, so I had a bit of money and some gift cards to spend. I wanted to get some beauty bits so I headed over to Superdrug and Boots to pick up a few treats.
My first stop was Superdrug I wanted to get some new make-up brushes. I bought the Real Techniques core collection, which has four brushes included for £20.99. The set includes a detailer brush which can be used to conceal problem areas. There's a pointed foundation brush to use with liquid foundation. You also get a buffing brush for applying powder. The final brush in the set is a contour brush, this can be used with a highlighter. The set comes in a handy panoramic case.
I also picked up a single Real Techniques shading brush for blending eye-shadow. This brush is priced at £6.99.

Superdrug - £20.99 & £6.99

The next things that I bought I've wanted since they were released. I picked up two of the Tanya Burr lip-gloss range for £6.99 each. I chose the colours Chic and Picnic in the park.

Superdrug - £6.99 each
After Superdrug I popped over to Boots to have a look at the Soap and Glory range. There's a 3 for 2 offer on at the moment getting the cheapest free. I got the Orangeasm zesty and revitalising body wash for £6.50 and the super-colour Sexy Mother Pucker lip gloss in colours Half Baked and Pink Apricot which were £9 each. For some reason I only got £4.50 off which I've only just discovered so if you're getting this offer check your receipt before you leave the store.

Boots - 3 for 2

Also from Boots I got myself some new foundation and concealer. I chose the Rimmel London Wake Me Up foundation in the colour porcelain and the matching concealer only I had to get this in the colour Ivory, there's not much difference to be honest. The foundation was £8.99 and the concealer £5.49.

Boots - £8.99 & £5.49

The last beauty product I got was actually from Tesco because I forgot to pick it up in Boots or Superdrug. I got the Rimmel London Stay Matte pressed powder in Peach Glow for £3.99.

Tesco - £3.99
That's everything I got on this trip, have you tried any of these products, what do you think of them?

Would You Rather - Beauty Edition

Thursday, 3 July 2014

Hey Honeybees!

I've seen the ‘Would you Rather’ Tag on a lot of Youtube channels and beauty blogs and I thought it’d be fun for me to do it! There's a few variations to this so I may add more, would you rather, questions that I've seen.

1. Would you rather wear one eye shadow or one lipstick for the rest of your life?

One lipstick, as long as it's a nude shade and I suit it. One eye shadow would be really boring and imagine it was blue! no thanks.

2. Would you rather have dark nails or bright nails all year round?

Bright nails definitely, Dark ones might start to get depressing, plus dark nail varnish tends to stain your nails.

3. Would you rather go out with messy hair/nice make-up or nice hair/no make-up

Messy hair/nice make-up, I would not leave the house without at least foundation.

4. Would you rather live without make-up or nail polish?

I think I'll have to wear a bag over my head and live without make-up because I can't live without nail polish.

5. Would you rather leave the house with an obvious foundation line or overdone blusher?

I would have to go with an obvious foundation line, I don't really do blusher and I really don't want to look like Aunt Sally.

6. Would you rather have a bad haircut or bad hair colour?

I guess I'd rather have a bad hair colour, If I had a decent cut I could so pull off a bad colour.

7. Would you rather give up using make-up brushes or mascara?

Make-up brushes, you can put foundation, concealer etc. on with your hands.

8. Would you rather never be able to paint yours nails again or never use lip gloss?

Never be able to use lip gloss again, I could not cope without nail varnish.

9. If you had £1000 to spend, would you rather buy clothes or make-up?

Why can't I buy a bit of both? I would probably choose clothes.

10. Would you rather lose all of your mascaras, eyeliners, lipsticks, and lipglosses or lose all of your palettes and eyeshadows?

I'd rather lose all my palettes I suppose, I can get eye shadows in pots, or is that cheating?

11. Would you rather chop off all your hair or never be able to cut it again?

Never be able to get it cut, I'd have to keep it in a large bun. I couldn't chop it off I'd cry.

12. Would you rather have a coral cheek or a pink cheek?

I don't like blusher but if I had to choose it would be coral.

13. Would you rather apply lipstick as eye-liner, or eye-liner as lipstick?

Lipstick as eye-liner, a black one.

14. Would you rather wear winter clothes in summer or summer clothes in winter?

Summer clothes in winter, I prefer being cold and I hate sweating.

15. Would you rather only be able to wear your hair in a ponytail or a messy bun?

A messy bun, sometimes I just want to get my hair off my face and ponytails annoy me.

16. Would you rather shave your eyebrows and have none at all or Sharpie them in everyday?

This is a very strange question! I guess I'd have to Sharpie them in.

17. Would you rather only shop at MAC or Sephora?

We don't have Sephora in the UK so it would have to be Mac.

18. Would you rather have a bad orange tan or bad tan lines that can't be covered?

Lines that can't be covered, I could probably cover them with clothes mostly anyway. Besides, who wants to look like David Dickinson.

19. Would you rather always have smudged Lipstick or always have smudged Nail polish?

Smudged Lipstick, it winds me up when I smudge my nails.

20.Would you rather never wear false eye lashes again or never wear concealer again?

I'd never wear false eyelashes again, I have to have something to cover up the big bags under my eyes.

June Favourites - Beauty

Tuesday, 1 July 2014

Hey Honeybees!

It's come to the end of month so it's time for me to share some of my favourite things in June. Lets get started!

Beauty

1. The Tangle Teezer - My love for the Tangle Teezer is endless. The hairdresser that invented this deserves a big fat kiss from any one who has ever had knotty hair. It glides through your hair from the first brush I can't recommend it highly enough. It's the best money I have ever spent. Get yours HERE.

2. Crest 3D tooth whitening professional effects strips - I first saw these on Velvetgh0st Youtube channel you can find that Here. Her teeth are lovely so I bought 20 strips which is 10 packets from Ebay. You get a strip for your top set of teeth and one for the bottom set. You wear them for 30 minutes a day for ten days. My teeth are a lot whiter now, I might get some more of these in the future to keep on top of the whitening. I paid around £15 for them which is expensive, but they are a lot dearer from other places on the net. They don't hurt like some whitening things so I'd definitely recommend them.

BEFORE

AFTER

Sorry my teeth aren't the nicest to look at but I thought you might want to see the difference.

3. Benefit Boi-ing industrial strength concealer 01 - A friend of mine recommended this, as every other concealer I tried didn't conceal anything. I got the lightest shade as I'm a pasty chick, and low and behold it actually works. It costs £17.50 but it's totally worth it and I'll definitely buy it again. You can find this HERE

4. Liz Earle cleanse & polish - I've seen this in so many Youtube videos and lots of people recommending it, I thought I'd give it a go. I use to use face wipes to take my make-up off, I know it's naughty! so I thought I better start looking after myself and buy this. I got it while it was on sale for £9.50, I think it's usually £14.75, you get two muslin cloths with it. This works so well and quickly, it feels lovely on your skin. All you do is rub it into your face (don't worry about looking like a panda because of your mascara) then put the muslin cloth in warm water and gently wipe your face, it's magic, I'll definitely but it again. You can find this HERE

5. Models Own Hypergel - These nail polishes come in 14 different shades. I bought three of them blue glint, turquoise gloss and cornflower gleam. They have such a lovely shine on them and the last around a week efore chipping. They are a lot cheaper than other gel nail polishes, they're priced at £5. You can find these HERE

That's my Beauty favourites for June I hope you liked them. Let me know what your June Beauty favourites are in the comments.

If you liked this I'm going to do a non-beauty June favourites of things I like on TV, Youtube Etc.

Supermarket Finds

Monday, 9 June 2014

Hey Honeybees!

Supermarkets sell everything these days from clothes to make-up and often it's cheaper than drug stores and department stores. I thought I'd show you some of the things I picked up recently.

In my last blog I told you about the travel set I got from boots, well, the next day I discovered a similar set in Aldi for £6.99.

Aldi - £6.99

It's a bit different to the boots set, with this you get four bags instead of three, these are patterned and the boots ones are just clear.
So now I have plenty of bags for plenty of make-up, I always spot something cheaper the day after I've bought something.

I had to buy two new shampoo's, everything runs out at the same time. One shampoo is for my Mum's house and one is for Mr Honeybees house. For my house I got Dove hair therapy.

Tesco - £2.69

This one is a damage solution intensive repair shampoo and I really like it. It smells bloody gorgeous, It smells like strawberries to me and it lathers your hair really well. I find a lot of shampoos don't lather these days and those ones tend to make my hair greasy. I paid £2.69 at Tesco and I just checked the website and it's BOGOF at the moment.

The second shampoo I got from Tesco is the Garnier Ultimate blends shampoo.

Tesco - £2.79

This is a shine revitaliser in a lemon and green tea fragrance. I haven't tried this yet but it smells really nice, I love anything lemon or citrus smelling. This one cost me £2.79, they do others in this range so there should be one for your hair type.

Last but not least I got a new nail polish from the Maybeline color show range.

Tesco - £2.99

I got the street artist top coat this time for £2.99 it's a lilac and silver sort of glitter.

They're my recent finds from the supermarket. What have you picked up from a supermarket that perhaps you didn't expect to find? Let me know in the comments.

Please hit the follow button at the top of the page in the right hand column and maybe share this post with someone who might like my blog.

Yours clothing & Ebay purchases

Tuesday, 3 June 2014

Hey Honeybees!

Ebay is a little treasure trove of goodies, you can buy anything on there from clothing to sprouts. I quite often find myself on there looking for a bargain or if I spot something on an other website that I want I always check on Ebay to see if I can get it cheaper.

This month I've bought a few things on Ebay such as leggings, shoes and  foot care products.

I'll start with the leggings, I bought these off Ebay but they are made by Yours clothing.

Look how thoughtful I am here, I could totally be a plus size model. This is my Oh look there's a squirrel, pose.

They are blue & black abstract print in full length and they cost me £15 on Ebay but they are also the same price on the Yours clothing website or two pairs for £20. http://www.yoursclothing.co.uk/P/Black_and_blue_printed_leggings-(17748).aspx

Yours clothing- £15

I'm not usually a fan of patterned trousers, I'm a bit fussy on patterned tops as well. These leggings look really nice on though and they are a decent thickness. I think it's best to wear them with a plain colour top, unless you're doing this pattern and pattern trend that's going on.

My next purchase from Ebay is a pair of ballerina flat shoes. They're called Dolly Flower canvas bow shoes to be precise, and the cost £8.99 plus P&P £2.99.

Ebay- £8.99  P&P £2.99

These are so comfy, I have to be careful with shoes as my heels are really sensitive with thin skin, so hard back shoes really cut them. These don't do that, they don't rub at all and they are really light on your feet. I got the more blue ones but they do come in more lilac to. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/New-Ladies-Flat-Ballerina-Pumps-Womens-Ballet-Dolly-Flower-Canvas-Bow-Shoes-Size-/261251606629?pt=UK_Women_s_Shoes&var=&hash=item3cd3cf2865

Finally I bought something for my hard skin on my heals (lovely I know). I got the Scholl Professional Express Pedi, I paid £24.75 with free P&P which it at least £5 cheaper than anywhere else.

Ebay- £25.99

This is so much easier than using my own manpower with one of those handheld foot files. I have quite thick skin on my heal but this gets through it quite quick and it's also really gentle on the skin.

I'd love to know any bargains you have picked up on Ebay. Is there anything you would recommend? Leave a comment and let me know.

If you enjoyed this post please follow my blog you can do that in many ways at the top right hand panel of this blog or in the link below..

Feelunique.com

Tuesday, 27 May 2014

Hey Honeybees!

My hair pretty much drives me nuts all the time, so I decided to have a look for some help on Feelunique.com I'd seen a video on Youtube by Zoella (I love her) https://www.youtube.com/user/zoella280390/videos and she had something called a Tangle Teezer which I had never heard of.

Feelunique.com-£10.20

Tangle Teezer original professional de-tangling hairbrush was designed by a hairdresser called Shaun P who decided he was sick of it being hard to brush his clients hair. I have to say this is the best £10.20 I have ever spent. Is it wrong to be in love with a hairbrush? My hair has recently become the knottiest thing in history. This brush which I'm currently kissing, gratefully, is an absolute Godsend. I can't recommend this highly enough, it glides through your hair right from the first stroke. No more screaming because knots hurt, no more time wasting trying to get just one knot out. This is the future, I think it would be great for kids to, no more cries of "Mum you're hurting me!"  OK gushing over. I love you Tangle Teezer!

My hair also has zero volume! I tend to use the sleep in rollers for special occasions but I don't fancy doing that everyday. After a visit to the hairdressers I thought I'd look for a back-combing brush. Sleep In Rollers make one so I bought one for £4.50.

Feelunique.com- £4.50

I think it's going to take me a while to get the hang of back-combing, the hairdresser made it look easy.

After my trip to the hairdressers I wanted to get something that gave my hair texture and make the layers more obvious.

Feelubique.com- £15.95

I ordered the Pureology serious colour care highlight stylist sea-kissed texturiser (that was a mouthful). I didn't realise it was for highlighted hair when I bought it, I'm not sure if that matters or not. I'm not sure if I'm doing it right (that's what he said) it doesn't appear to look any different when I use it. I'll have to look into it more. On the plus size it smells really nice I just hope I figure out how to use it especially at the price of £15.95.

Free-stuff! That's right people you get some free goodies when you spend over a certain amount and you can choose which ones you want.

Feelunique.com-FREE!

The first product I got free you couldn't choose, it's the Pureology Gold definer. It's not much use to me but I'm sure all you blonde ladies would love it. It's a large free sample at 30ml.
The next freebie I chose was a perfume sample. The BVLGARI OMINIA Indian Garnet 0.005 fl oz. It's not my sort of scent but it is a clean smelling perfume.
The last thing I chose was VICHY IDEALIA Life Serum 3ml. It smells a bit weird to me I Can't put my finger on the scent. It feels nice on the skin and it shimmers which is nice.

So those were my first purchases from Feelunique.com, if you liked this post please follow my Blog. You can follow at the top of the blog in the right column.

Superdrug Haul Pt2

Hey Honeybees!

It's time for part two of my Superdrug hall. This time I'll show you skincare and bathing products.

I wanted to find a moisturiser for my face to go under my make-up on a daily basis. I picked up the Nivea Daily Essentials Tinted moisturising day cream.

Superdrug- £2.39

I bought this in a natural colour, it's £2.39 for 50 ml. It can be used on all skin types and they state it evens skin tone and helps enhance skins natural glow.  It contains vitamins and Hydra IQ with an SPF 8.

Moving on to face, feet and scrub. We all need to wash unless you like smelling of B.O, so why not wash yourself with something delicious like I Love... Strawberries & Cream.

Superdrug- £2.99

I could smell this product all day long and probably lick myself in a none sexual way to. This 200 ml ex-foliating shower smoothie is a bargain at £2.99.

Superdrug- £2.59

I've never tried a face mask before, yes I know I've lived a sheltered life. The reason being I have sensitive skin and eczema and I didn't fancy my face turning bright red with a rash. I really wanted to try one though so I had a look and spotted this, cucumber peel-off mask. I figure cucumber can't do you any harm. It is for all skin types and is meant to leave you with a refreshed look.  It really does smell like cucumber so your face will smell like a salad!  This cost £2.59 for 75 ml which isn't too bad.

Superdrug- £3.99

Poor old feet don't half get battered everyday and they really should be looked after. I have to confess I'm guilty of neglecting my little trotters. I get a lot of hard skin (yes I know ewe) so  I purchased the Palmers Cocoa Butter Formula foot magic. I didn't know when I bought it but this product is peppermint oil and mango butter. I love mango but I'm not a fan of mint, it smells really strongly of mint so if you're a mint fan you'll probably like it. It contains vitamin E and it's £3.99 for 60g.

That's it for this haul, if you liked it please follow my blog as well as reading because followers make me happy.  You can follow at the top of the blog in the right column. Also I'd love to read any comments you have and I will reply to them.

Thanks for reading
